Iverson Signs with Besiktas Guard Allen Iverson has agreed to a two year, $4 million contract with the Besiktas of Turkey. Iverson returned to his former team the Philadelphia 76ers last season after playing only three games for the Memphis Grizzlies.     Keep an eye on AI. I don’t expect he’ll be with Besiktas for long. I wonder if Vegas sports books have an under/over number for # of games played? And how long do you suppose it’ll be before he’s upset about playing time or PRACTICE or money or some other issue? No disrepect to Turkish hoops, but this is an ignominious end to a once-glorious career. Iverson will be a fish out of water there, I’m afraid….he’s becoming the Norma Desmond of basketball.
