Before the Christmas holiday, I had the wonderful luck of being invited to dine at KIVA with a new friend. I’m not sure which I like better, the friend or the food!
Located on the terrace level of one of Ankara’s newest malls, Next Level, KIVA specializes in Anatolian cuisine. It’s concept is as a “modern craftsman restaurant” whose history dates back to Silk Road of Anatolia.
The setting is lovely, perfect for business lunches or hot dates with the hubby. There is a very large menu to admire, but you can also select items behind the glass at the counter. (Much of the food must be prepared in advance.)
You won’t be disappointed. There are so many options, we tried a little of everything including an onion and chestnut soup, a thyme salad, fennel in olive oil, onions stuffed with beef (or was it lamb?) and things I can’t even remember.
KIVA has a full menu, serving breakfast, lunch and dinner. So if kebab, pide, and dolma are more your style, you won’t be let down!
The friend, the friend is definitely my top choice. Thanks for the lunch canim!
I give it a rating of 4.5 PHILiberty Bells!
